SHIFT UP's post-apocalyptic action game is landing on a third platform. Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026 in the Americas, with the worldwide release going live simultaneously at midnight local time in Korea and Japan on November 6. It's the first time EVE's fight to reclaim a ruined Earth has run on Nintendo hardware, and the Switch 2 edition arrives already stacked with everything the game has picked up since its original 2024 PS5 launch.
Release Date, Price and Platforms
The official Nintendo store listing confirms a November 5, 2026 release at $59.99 / £54.99 / €59.99. Stellar Blade remains available on PS5 and on PC via Steam, where it arrived in June 2025 and sold well as a former PS5 exclusive. All three versions carry an ESRB M rating for blood and gore, suggestive themes and violence, which the ESRB's own listing confirms applies equally to the Switch 2 edition.
Pre-ordering ahead of launch unlocks three early cosmetics for EVE: a white Planet Diving Suit, a pair of Classic Round Glasses and Ear Armor Earrings. A Limited Edition SteelBook carrying new key art is also being sold in limited numbers through select retailers for anyone who wants a physical collector's version.

What's Included in the Complete Edition
Stellar Blade is set on a devastated Earth after creatures called the Naytiba forced what remained of humanity into an orbital colony. EVE, a soldier from the 7th Airborne Squad, is sent back down to help retake the planet, and finds her orders are not as straightforward as they first seemed. The Switch 2 Complete Edition carries the full campaign plus both crossover expansions the game has released since launch:
- The Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata DLC, which re-skins EVE and her gear with 2B-inspired costumes and weapons.
- The Stellar Blade x GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE DLC, crossing EVE over with characters from the mobile shooter NIKKE.
- A set of Complete Edition bonuses: the Stargazer outfit set for EVE, Adam and Lily, extra glasses and earring accessories, two cosmetic Drone packs, 2,000 SP and 5,000 Gold to spend early.
Some of this bonus content only unlocks once you've progressed a stretch into the story, so none of it is dumped on you in the opening cutscene.
The Free Bayonetta Collaboration
Timed to the Switch 2 launch, SHIFT UP is adding four couture outfits for EVE inspired by Bayonetta, and the collaboration is free on every platform the game runs on — Switch 2, PS5 and PC alike — starting the same day the Switch 2 version goes live. It's the second high-profile costume crossover the game has received after the NieR: Automata tie-in, and it costs nothing beyond owning the base game.
A Long Road to Switch 2
The port had a drawn-out path to release. SHIFT UP denied a Switch 2 version was confirmed when rumors first surfaced, before officially announcing the port was coming sometime in 2026. The Switch 2 build picked up its own ESRB rating over the summer, carrying the same M rating as the PS5 and PC releases, and the public got hands-on time with it for the first time at Tokyo Game Show in September, ahead of a string of trailers covering the environments, the Boss Challenge mode and finally the Bayonetta outfits.

How the Switch 2 Port Holds Up
The physical Switch 2 cartridge carries the entire game, according to SHIFT UP — there's no game-key card and no mandatory download required to start playing, which is increasingly rare on the platform. A free demo is already live on the Switch 2 eShop for anyone who wants to check performance before committing to a purchase. The port also adds Joy-Con 2 motion controls for select non-combat activities, on top of standard handheld, tabletop and docked TV play.
Should You Buy It on Switch 2
For anyone who skipped Stellar Blade the first two times around, the Switch 2 Complete Edition is the most complete and most portable way to play it: every DLC bundled in, a free costume crossover on day one, and a full campaign that runs off the cartridge alone. Full patch and technical details are tracked on SHIFT UP's official development blog, and background on the game's prior releases and reception is on Wikipedia.
